MY STORY

I encountered Roman art at the Getty Villa Museum when I was 14. A lifelong interest began. But then who else recalls learning about Pompeii in grade school? I took as many semesters of Roman art and history electives as I could in college. I then studied in Italy for a semester after college.

I travel to Italy as much as possible, and visit Roman sites in other places. In the meantime, books, museums and other sources keep my interest going. This site and newsletter are my way of sharing what I find that is current and eternal - and hopefully fun and humorous - about things that happened 2,000 years ago.
